Come join us for the 1st in a series of Edible Feasts during this year’s Appetite Festival in East London.
Far East 17 takes you nibbling through Japan & Korea, before munching your way into mainland China! After chewing on a taste of the People’s Republic, it’s time to slurp on the refreshing fragrances & textures of Vietnam. Finally your journey ends with a sweet selection of desserts influenced by Asia’s best!

Japanese Soybeans & Korean Kimbap
Chinese Pork Pancakes – Roast pork with hoisin sauce, cucumber, spring onions & pancakes
Vietnamese Bún Noodles – Lemongrass beef with fried spring
roll, cold bún noodles, Nuóc Chám* & a selection of fresh salads (Lettuce, coriander, chilli, lime, shredded carrots, beansprouts)
Sides – Fresh summer rolls, a variety of dips, etc
Dessert Platter
*A common Vietnamese dipping sauce with fresh lime, garlic, fish sauce & a little chilli

Edible Feasts are a unique immersive experience into the world of food, brought to you by Kerrie Ahern. Having lived in China, worked in a Korean school, & travelled through Vietnam, Kerrie brings together the recipes she has learnt for this special evening. Influenced by her own mixed cultural heritage (British born, Irish, Chinese & Vietnamese!), Far East 17 aims to be an interactive evening of sharing & embracing the joys of communal dining.

Food Provenance: Where possible, the ingredients used in these dinners will be locally sourced, sustainable & in season. These are the proposed menus, but please note that slight changes may possibly occur due to availability.

Drinks: These Edible Feasts are based in a local pub & brewery where a large range of drinks will be available for purchase on the night.
Venue: Weather permitting, the suppers will ideally be served in an outdoor location, so please dress accordingly (if you want to!)
