My first official Pop Up Dinner and it will be so authentic you will forget that you are in London in the end. I will be serving 5 courses of true Bajan cuisine and we will be congregating in The Trinity Church Dalston. It will be an experience for quirky diners, foodies and Bajans who miss their grandmum's cooking.

£30 donation and a complimentary Bajan rumpunch

Fish Soup
(a light and tasty fish broth with red sea bream, caribbean vegetables and fresh herbs)

Pickled Octopus & Bread Fruit
(a real Bajan treat, octopus boiled and pickled with fresh herbs, scotch bonnet peppers and lime served with boiled bread fruit)

Bajan Fish Cakes
(a blend of gluten free organic flour with fresh herbs, spinach and fresh quality salted cod mixed in a batter and deep fried. Served with my popular salsa)

Mahi Mahi & Cou-Cou
(probably one of the ocean's sweetest tasting fish also named dorado or dolphin fish ''not the dolphin you think''. Cooked in a concuction of herbs and served with our national okra cou-cou and a spicy sauce)

Fluffy Pumpkin Fritters & Fruit Sauce
(a true Bajan sweet tooth favorite)

This is something extraordinary and for anyone who loves food and culture, this is an event you should not miss. At this price you would be crazy to miss out.

Not vegan or vegetarian

Rating: 3

londonveggie attended in May 2013, reviewed on 28 May 2013

Why does this have vegan and vegetarian as tags when it is plainly neither. If you can't trust the tags, how can you trust the rest of the description?

Pop Up Barbados responded on 12 April 2014:

In response to your review, if I tagged it as vegan/vegetarian was because there were both those options available on request and it would have said on the event details if you had read carefully. I am sorry if you felt misled when reading but was never intended.

I would have to say you have clearly not been to any of my supperclubs and posting a review like that could be detrimental to my reputation and credits.

I have never had a bad review as far as my cooking is concern and you would see this if you google Pop Up Barbados.
