Pop on your pinny and roll up your sleeves, this special course has been designed to help develop your artisan culinary skills as we separate the curds and whey, creating three different cheeses in our London kitchen…
Sara Ward will welcome you to Hen Corner with fresh coffee and homemade biscuits. After an introduction to our time together we will start making our first cheese following the whole process from beginning to end. Throughout the day, you will have opportunity to stroll around the garden visiting the chickens and bees, and discover how we are choosing to live a more sustainable life.
Whilst the cheeses are straining and settling in moulds, we will enjoy a simple lunch to fuel us for the tasks of the afternoon.
Organic Recipes for the day may include:
- Hand Stretched Mozzarella
- Tangy Feta Cheese
- Mould Ripened Camembert
- Honey & Whey Bread
- Rosemary Biscuits (perfect with cheese!)
Everyone goes home with a goodie bag including recipe sheets and your homemade cheese, bread and biscuits.
‘I would really recommend this to anyone! Sara is very good at making you feel comfortable and welcome. It’s easy to listen her, as she delivers with an infectious enthusiasm. Its apparent she is passionate and loves doing this sort of thing.’ Tony, 8 May 2014
‘Hen Corner is a charming place where ordinary people are doing extraordinary things, and showing us how we can have a slice of the country life in an urban environment.’ Spencer, 17 June 2014
