hosted by The Bread Companion
Tea and toast – a winning combination most people would agree! Moving micro bakery, The Bread Companion, has joined forces with herb specialists, Hackney Herbal, to run a bake and blend workshop on Sunday 13th September based on the theme of 'Reflection.' As the autumn draws in, join these budding foodie startups to learn how to make your own bread and blend your very own herbal tea. Set in a creative studio space next door to Broadway Market, you will be taught bread making basics, have the opportunity to bake in the wood fired oven plus learn about herbs that help us reflect and focus our energies. Take home all you make in the session - including lavender dough, herby flat breads and your own personalised, handmade teabags. There will also be a SMORGASBORD-style lunch provided with complimentary herbal tea tasting and some doughy snacks along the way. Tickets are £80 (earlybird price up until the 1st September and £90 thereafter) per head for this five-hour session, with a maximum class size of 8 people. After the workshop, Hackney Herbal and The Bread Companion will also be hosting a small party, which is free for all, to celebrate their launch during Urban Food Fortnight.
