Join Deena Kakaya, a modern vegetarian food writer and cookery tutor for a spicy, vegetarian and fabulously fun cookery class. Deena writes for magazines such as BBC Good Food, Delicious, Cook Vegetarian and Good Things magazine and was recently described as the 'meat free maestro' by Top Sante Magazine.  All of Deena's recipes are her own and use Influences from throughout the world.


The cookery class will be held at the beautifully bright and well equipped Central street Cookery school for which the address is : 90 Central Street, London EC1V 8AJ

Start time: 6.30pm

finish time: 9.30pm

The menu is entirely vegetarian but does contain cheese.

all of the ingredients will be supplied, but please bring Tupperware/containers for take-away as there is always lots of food for you to take away with you.

If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies,please do let me know in advance of the class.


Sample menu 

Beetroot, feta, potato and spice spring rolls

tandoori hallomi 

hot and smoky aubergine curry OR paneer & sweet corn curry in home-made cashew cream 

Shrikhand, berry and amoretti fool

Congratulations to Deena and her team on running a superb cookery class, My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My only suggestion for this class is to turn it into a full day class as it was so enjoyable.

A superb class that I felt was not only well planned it was delivered in a way in which both beginners and Intermediate home cooks can learn a lot.
I took this class as my wife is vegetarian where I am not and wanted to learn a couple of dishes from this class.
I was so impressed with Deena's style of teaching and learnt how to make a starter, main and dessert.
The class is generally easy follow and the notes handed out will allow me to replicate the dishes for my wife over the coming weeks.

I would highly recommended this class to anyone who already enjoys cooking or even if you are a beginner, Deena connects well with all the attendees and at the end of the lesson I made some nice friends. Thank you again and look forward to the next class in the new year.
