Toral Shah established The Urban Kitchen out of her deep passion for taste experiences and healthy eating. A real ‘foodie’ by her own admission, Toral has immersed herself in several courses at London’s most prestigious cookery school, Le Cordon Bleu, and is constantly adding to her skills and knowledge by visiting cooking schools around the world. Toral loves to travel, collecting new and interesting ideas and recipes from countries as diverse as Bhutan, Belize, Namibia and the Netherlands.
In 2004, Toral began an MSc in Nutritional Medicine. At the very same time, she started The Urban Kitchen, linking her two passions: science and food. Two years later, Toral was also diagnosed with breast cancer. She puts her recovery down to a healthy diet and an incredible knowledge of certain food’s power in the fight against cancer. Toral is now fighting fit and running a successful business where she has the opportunity to share her intense passion, her incredible experiences and her expert nutritional knowledge.
Toral loves to share her knowledge and passion about food, nutrition and science and is working with a range of brands. She is also writing a cancer and nutrition book sharing her beautiful recipes.
