hosted by Mosaic Rooms
The Mosaic Rooms is delighted to continue our supper club programme with an introduction to Syrian cuisine by Nada Saleh.
Our supper club series aims to celebrate cooking and stories that surround food from the diverse Middle Eastern cultures found in London. This evening with Nada Saleh will focus on the aromatic spices and flavours found in Syrian cuisine. With stories, discussions, and demonstrations, guests will have the opportunity to learn about and sample the authentic taste of Damascus and Aleppo whilst surrounded by the beautiful and emotive paintings of Syrian artist Lawand in our current exhibition.
Nada Saleh was born in Beirut and has traveled extensively in the Middle East. In addition to being a cookery writer (her fist book, The Fragrance of the Earth, was shortlisted for the Andre Simon Cookery Book of the Year Award), she is also a trained nutritionist and a member of The Wine Society. She is the author of Seductive Flavours of the Lavant (also shortlisted for the Andre Simon Cookery Book of the Year Award), New Flavours of the Lebanese Table and Fresh Moroccan. She lives in London and was a regular at Books for Cooks in Notting Hill where her cookery demonstrations were always sell-outs.
The event will take place at The Mosaic Rooms in our main exhibition room.
