A year since Mae appeared on BBC for Mary Berry's Easter Feast, Mae showed Mary how to make Filipino Lechon (slow roasted pork belly) and how Filipinos celebrate Easter Sunday. Mae is recreating this dish with other traditional Filipino foods eaten during holy week.
Don't worry we are not going to start doing the rosary! It's all about the food. Expect authentic Filipino food presented modernly. Pritong Bangus
Milk fish marinated overnight in soy, vinegar, garlic and pepper. Pan fried and served with toyomansi (soy & calamansi) dip.
Ginataang Puso ng Saging
Banana blossom cooked with onions, garlic coconut milk
Mae's Lechon
Brined overnight. Slow roasted pork belly filled with lemongrass, spring onions, garlic, bay leaves and seasoning. Tied to keep the fillings in and slow roasted up to 6-8 hours. Served with homemade Atchara (pickled green papaya), homemade liver sauce and rice.

Soft and pillowy meringue filled with sweet decadent custard
