If you love baking and eating sweet things, but feel that you would like to gain a better understanding of alternative grains and ingredients, then this is the class for you! We will be learning how to bake three different cakes using natural sweeteners, vegetables and healthy flours. Over three hours you will make a spelt St. 'Clement' orange cake, carrot and courgette 'Garden' mini cakes with cream cheese frosting and honey ginger scones.
Skills learnt include:
Working with and understanding alternative flours
Creating perfect scone dough
Making and decorating sponge cakes
Making frosting and glazes to decorate
You will take home a whole cake, 6 mini cakes and 6 scones to enjoy, along with recipes and tips from the day.
