In a 3 hour hands on class you will learn how to create and 'feed' a healthy sourdough starter, in addition to mixing, shaping and baking your own white sourdough loaf, olive and cheese rye and sweet sourdough muffins. You will learn a whole range of tricks and theory about working with sourdough, and how to achieve the perfect crust, crumb and texture as well as kneading and baking techniques.
You will leave with all the breads made in class, your own starter and recipes from the day to practice at home!
Our classes are very informal but well structured, taught in small groups for maximum experience. There will be lots of hands on baking, overseen and demonstrated by the teacher. At the end of the class you will take home everything made entirely by yourself, in addition to recipes from the day.
